В США Пасха - веселый праздник весны, который не такой затяжной, как Рождественский сезон. Для детей обязательным атрибутом этого праздника является Охота на пасхальные яйца, Easter egg hunt. По существующей местной традиции Пасхальный заяц Easter Bunny прячет яйца со сладкими сюрпризами в траве (ну или где придется), а задача детворы - найти как можно больше этих яиц с сюрпризами. Отсюда зайцы (и прочие милашки - птенчики, цыплята, зайчата) - символы Пасхи.
