Ситуативная (иначе: денотативная) модель перевода исходит из того несомненного факта, что содержание всех еди­ниц языка отражает, в конечном счете, какие-то предметы, яв­ления, отношения реальной действительности, которые обычно называются денотатами. Создаваемые с помощью языка сообщения (отрезки речи) содержат информацию о какой-то ситуа­ции, то есть о некоторой совокупности денотатов, поставленных и определенные отношения друг к другу.
