Ночь, бурное море и одинокий корабль, борющийся с разбушевавшейся стихией. И лишь Луна, появившаяся в просвете облаков, наблюдает за происходящим с отстраненным равнодушием. Море не вызывает ощущения статичности. Оно движется, оно бурлит, оно живое. Лунный свет, отражающийся в бушующей воде, придает полотну еще большую естественность и подчеркивает невероятную динамику морской стихии.
