Я хочу рассказать о первых героях Советского Союза. Геро́й Сове́тского Сою́за — высшая степень отличия СССР. Звание Героя Советского Союза было впервые присвоено 20 апреля 1934 года за спасение полярной экспедиции и экипажа ледокола "Челюскин" отважным советским авиаторам Водопьянову М.В., Доронину И.В., Каманину Н.П., Леваневскому С.А., Ляпидевскому А.В., Молокову В.С. и Слепнёву М.Т. Все они получили особые грамоты. Кроме того, им были вручены ордена Ленина. Восьмым Героем стал летчик М.М. Громов, получивший звание через 4 месяца после первых Героев за установление мирового рекорда дальности полета по замкнутому маршруту. Члены его экипажа получили только ордена.
Первым Героем Советского Союза в Великую Отечественную войну,был старший лейтенант Иванов И. И. Он выполнил таран вражеского самолета в первые минуты войны.
В 1938 г. высшей степени отличия были удостоены первые женщины-лётчицы – В.С. Гризодубова, П.Д. Осипенко и М.М. Раскова.
Первое присвоение звания Героя Советского Союза за воинские подвиги состоялось 31 декабря 1936г. Этой награды были удостоены 11 командиров Красной Армии.Это были участники гражданской войны в Испании.
