Для поступления на все специальности без исключения в обязательном порядке нужно пройти личное интервью. Другие испытания являются факультативными и зависят от выбранной специальности.

В отличие от многих университетов Кембридж предлагает возможность попробовать себя в разных областях и как только студент выбирает наиболее интересную для себя сферу, он может сфокусироваться на конкретных предметах. Т.е. помимо обязательных предметов, студент набирает предметы, которые ему интересны, создавая свой собственный уникальный курс. Выбор дополнительных предметов не ограничивается специальностью, на которую принят студент, они могут быть из любой сферы наук.
