Ситуативная (иначе: денотативная) модель перевода исходит из того несомненного факта, что содержание всех еди­ниц языка отражает, в конечном счете, какие-то предметы, яв­ления, отношения реальной действительности, которые обычно называются денотатами. Создаваемые с помощью языка сооб­щения (отрезки речи) содержат информацию о какой-то ситуа­ции, т.е. о некоторой совокупности денотатов, поставленных и определенные отношения друг к другу.
