После 25-ти дней введения препарата в дозе 1200 мг/кг у самцов было выявлено увеличение относительной, а у самок увеличение абсолютной и относительной массы печени. У самцов крыс, получавших препарат в дозе 600 мг/кг, в конце курса введения было установлено увеличение абсолютных значений массы сердца.
Результаты макро- и микроскопического анализа эффектов препарата Мексидол® таблетки, покрытые оболочкой 125 мг, в дозах 50, 600 и 1200 мг/кг показали, что в условиях эксперимента препарат не обладал общетоксическим и местно-раздражающим действием.
