As for Helen's sister-in-law, Emily, she's always on a slimming diet. It's rather a problem to please her. For dinner she may have green peas, fruit, and a cup of tea without sugar. She is an actress and her film producer likes only slim actors and actresses. So she must be on a slimming diet almost all the time. What does her diet allow her? Well, a little boiled meat or fish, a few hard-boiled eggs, some cheese or milk, a lot of vegetables: lettuce, cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, very few potatoes, a lot of fruit. No cakes, no ice-cream, no chocolate, and very little salt. She says she does not live to eat but she eats to live. Differ Tastes, of course.
Her brother Henry likes good food. He is not a vegetarian. He thinks good roast-beef is much tastier than watery vegetables. Mr. Brown agrees with him. He likes Mexican dishes - they are spicy. He has nothing against He a drop of alcohol before dinner and a good cigarette after it.
As for Mr. Sandford, he is off alcohol and he has stopped smoking. He avoids spicy food. He prefers everything natural. Is not it boring sometimes to follow these strict rules?
