В первой главе раскрывается понятие «Языковая картина мира», а также рассматривается история изучения языковой картины мира, современный этап изучения данного явления. В данной главе понятие «языковая картина мира» раскрывается через такие науки, как межкультурная коммуникация, лингвистика и переводоведение, обосновывается важность данного явления.
Во второй главе перевод рассматривается как разновидность межкультурной коммуникации, а также изучается специфика и проблемы перевода художественных произведений, раскрывается понятие «трансформация».
Практическая часть исследования описана в третьей главе. В ней трансформации рассматриваются как часть функционального способа перевода, изучаются особенности использования трансформаций и их классификации. В главе представлен анализ использования различных типов трансформаций на примере текста книги Дэна Брауна «Angels and Demons» в переводе Г.Б. Косова.
