Lots of fantastic theories associated with this little selen′em. Many times I saw pseudo-scientific movies that if Okunëvo is the only piece of land, which will remain intact after the world flooding. In the year 2014 with a tourist group I fell into this legendary place. It's really very amazing and is only around 300 kilometres from Omsk (4:00).Hamlet is situated in a very picturesque place near the river Tara. The village begins the pine forest, on the taiga. It is in this forest we broke camp. Never saw such high pine trees, trunks if rested in the sky and only there to spread their own branches. Seemed as if cut boron, the sky slip to the ground. It is hard to put into words the beauty of this area. Alas, I am not an artist. The main feature of Okunëva is its inhabitants. Their appearance and lifestyle caused bewilderment and concern. What was my surprise when I learned that the village only 40 years. One Englishwoman, a pupil of the famous Buddhist monk, on the advice of his teacher came to Russia to seek holy land and found her in a small corner of Siberia. From time immemorial there lived Orthodox Russian peasants who did not unheard of no Buddhists, but once the world flashed the news of the promised land, the unknown way simple peasants gradually gave way to the Buddhist priests, shamans and Magi, the simple hermits. On a small hill, where stoâlaâ the local Chapel soon grew Slavic Solstice and a Buddhist altar. This Hill was named "place of power". Another mystical attraction of the village, known as the "Ved′men circle": for the village grow huge, centuries-old pine trees around one of them, which is a distance from the others, defined so exactly like a giant compass, a large circle. Its origin is unknown. Tourists often come to him. There is a belief that if the bypass three times, you achieve love, seven times-health, 14-absolûtnuâ Nirvana. We walked at night (more interesting). We are lucky, we met these shamans! They walked around the circle and shouted something in his terrible language, sometimes they cry reached growls. By the way, at night the whole village sleeps, and it is, rather, it was the exception to the rule. The lifestyle of these people makes them respect. The women wear dresses and skirts to toe, men in long robes and broad, many with beards. All the clothes the villagers sew themselves. They do not eat meat, do not consume alcohol and tobacco. From all variety of drinks they prefer tea, and the tea-made cones (taste leaves much to be desired: there was a feeling that I'm eating a Christmas tree). And where would you think, you can find authentic Indian sweets, as well as Arab perfume and jewellery? Of course in a small Siberian village! In tea (something like Cafe) to choose from, you can buy Indian delicacies and Slavic pancakes, Tea itself is full of Indian and Slavic symbols. On the wall a picture of Slavic Sun dome in the center of the Hall for the connection with the cosmic energy. Several souvenir shops in the village, which just sold everything from herbal teas to Arab cosmetics.Once a year the Slavic Pagans suit in June holiday Thunder, which attracts many tourists. It happens at night, committed all sorts of rituals associated with fire (dances around a huge bonfire, jumping through fire, walking on coals, etc.) It is for this holiday we came, stayed there the whole 5 days. Despite all its oddities, okunëvcy are very bright and hospitable people. Silence reigns everywhere, appeasement, beautiful and untouched nature. I would have gladly spent there the vacations to relax from the city.
