Лидеры стран Евросоюза договорились открыть центры по приему беженцев на внешних рубежах ЕС. Об этом после экстренного саммита по миграционному кризису сообщил председатель Евросовета Дональд Туск.

Центры откроются к концу ноября в Греции и Италии. Именно там мигрантов будут регистрировать, снимать у них отпечатки пальцев и проводить процедуру идентификации. Кроме того, Европа финансово поможет странам, которые особенно страдают от наплыва нелегалов. Один миллиард евро получит Турция и 700 миллионов евро – Македония.

По предварительным подсчетам, более полумиллиона нелегальных мигрантов из стран Ближнего Востока и Африки прибыли в Евросоюз с начала 2015 года, причем их число постоянно растет.

Этот миграционный кризис стал крупнейшим со времен Второй мировой войны. В некоторых городах – например, в австрийском Никельсдорфе – мигрантов уже больше, чем мирного населения. Страны ЕС уже не справляются с потоком беженцев из Сирии, Ирака, Афганистана, Пакистана и Экваториальной Африки.
