На прошлом занятии английского мы посмотрели фильм американского режиссера Тома Шедьяка «Целитель Адамс». Этот фильм посвящен медицинской тематике, но главное его особенностью является особенный, нетрадиционный подход главного героя к лечению людей, его отношение к медицине в целом. Фильм основан на биографии реально существующего человека — Хантера Патча Адамса. Так же он был номинирован в нескольких категориях на «Оскар» и «Золотой глобус».
Главный герой Адамс попал в психическую больницу. Но по своему желанию. Время, проведенное там, в корне изменило его жизнь. Он понял, что хочет помогать больным людям. Не просто, делать вид что слушаешь их и выписывать им лечение, а действительно слушать, понимать их проблему, давать им мысли для размышления и, конечно же, веселить. дать пациентам возможность уйти от своей проблемы, дать возможность не зацикливаться только на ней, а видеть всю жизнь с её маленькими и большими радостями. Он видел недостатки медицины и хотел их исправить. Так же Адамс смог вдохновить своей идеей и других. Например, Коринн и Трумана. Они вместе начали помогать людям. Их пациентами не приходилось долго сидеть в очереди, заполнять кучу бланков и уставшим ходить по разным кабинетам.
Кульминацией этого фильма становится убийство Коррин. Адамс всегда верил только в хорошее в человеке и это событие поломало все его стереотипы. Он глубоко разочарован и решает уйти из университета и бросить своё начатое дело. Он теряет смысл всего. Но он находит в себе силы не опускать руки. Благодаря поддержке окружающих он заканчивает университет.
Я советую посмотреть этот фильм. Возможно, для докторов он будет даже чем-то полезен. Мало послушать сердце и легкие, посмотреть горло, измерить пульс и давление, выписать лечение. Доктор должен понять больного и своими словами способствовать его выздоровлению. Этот фильм учит нас верить в любовь и доброту, даже в тяжелые периоды нашей жизни.
