Мемориальный комплекс, посвященный воинам, павшим во времена ВОВ, является важным историческим объектом для нашей страны. Он состоит из десяти курганов - братских могил, в которых захоронено более 3 тысяч героев, погибших в бою или скончавшихся от ранений в курских больницах. На территории комплекса можно увидеть разнообразные тематические памятники и обелиски. Например, в самом центре объекта располагается огромный обелиск Славы. Выполнен он из полированного гранита красного цвета, а высота обелиска составляет более 22 метров. Очень внушительная конструкция.

Неподалеку от обелиска Славы разместился Вечный огонь, который был торжественно зажжен в день 40-летней годовщины Курской битвы при участии ветеранов второй мировой войны и продолжает гореть по сей день. Сегодня почетную вахту у вечного огня регулярно несут школьники-юнармейцы.



А центральную аллею данного мемориала украшают шесть звезд, на которых изображены символы родов войск, принимавших активное участие в Курской битве.



Мемориал открыт как для жителей Курска, так и для гостей из других городов России и зарубежья.
