Александр Михайлович Бутлеров (1828 – 1886)

– русский ученый.

Химией начал заниматься еще в юности. Из-за его «практических опытов» был наказан. Во время обеда он стоял в углу с табличкой на шее, с надписью «великий химик». Таковым и стал Александр Михайлович.

Основной вклад ученый сделал в органическую химию. Бутлеров впервые синтезировал некоторые органические соединения. Так же был первым, кому удалось объяснить явление изомерии.

В 1861г. Александр Михайлович сформулировал теорию химического строения органических веществ. Тем самым создал фундамент для изучения органической химии.

Бутлеров так же известен как педагог. Преподавал в Петербургском и Казанском университетах химию. Был ректором Императорского Казанского университета.

Бутлеров всегда был разносторонне развит. Был Известен как пчеловод и лепидоптеролог. И даже написал книгу «Пчела, её жизнь и главные правила толкового пчеловодства».

Александр Михайлович Бутлеров ушел из жизни в возрасте 58 лет.
