Влияние Профсоюза на улучшение ситуации в морской отрасли осуществлялось, прежде всего, через систему социального партнерства. Профсоюз работников морского транспорта Украины заключил 8 отраслевых соглашений с Министерством транспорта Украины, которые стали гарантом роста социальных благ для работников морехозяйственного комплекса. Отраслевые стандарты, оговоренные в соглашениях, были выше аналогичных показателей в других отраслях экономики. Заключение коллективных договоров на предприятиях позволило успешно отстаивать интересы работников. Стало возможным поднять уровень заработной платы в некоторых портах Одесской области выше других в отрасли, а может и во всем государстве.

Trade Union influence on improvement of the situation in the marine industry was conducted primarily through the system of social partnership. Maritime transport workers ' Union of Ukraine has concluded 8 sectoral agreements with the Ministry of transport of Ukraine, which became the guarantor of growth in social benefits for employees of marine complex. Industry standards stipulated in the agreements, were higher than in other sectors of the economy. Collective bargaining in enterprises has successfully defend the interests of workers. It became possible to raise wages in some ports of Odessa region above others in the industry, and perhaps in the entire State.
