Для оформления туристских виз РК необходимо наличие подтверждения о приеме туристской организацией РК, имеющей лицензию на право осуществление туристской деятельности.
Визы на учебу оформляются при наличии разрешений органов внутренних дел (миграционной полиции), выдаваемых на основании ходатайств учебного заведения, согласно цели пребывания, соответствующего названию категории визы.
Визы на лечение выдаются иностранцам и лицам без гражданства, следующим в Казахстан для лечения, медицинского обследования, консультаций и с другими аналогичными целями на оснований ходатайств соответствующих учреждений и организаций, подтверждающих характер вызова.

Визы РК “на постоянное жительство” выдаются при наличии необходимых документов, оформленных в установленном законодательством порядке.
Транзитные визы РК оформляются при наличии документов (визы), действительных для въезда в страну следования и соответствующих проездных билетов с подтверждением в них даты выезда из пункта пересадки на территории Казахстана, не позднее 5 суток с момента прибытия в порт или станцию, расположенную на территории РК. Транзитная виза дает право пребывания сроком на пять дней.

Продление виз РК осуществляется учреждениями ДКС МИД РК и управлениями миграционной полиции МВД РК, ГУВД-УВД областей и гг.Астаны и Алматы.
