7 февраля 1937 году с конвейера сошла первая бутылка. Уже через пару лет ростовские виноделы смогли гордо представить шампанское, которое восхитило даже самых искушенных дегустаторов – французов. Внедрив новое оборудование, Ростовский комбинат шампанских вин к 1940-му году достиг мощности 4,2 миллиона бутылок в год! Это составляло более половины всего выпуска шампанского в стране. А потом началась Великая Отечественная война. На период оккупации Ростова-на-Дону основное оборудование было эвакуировано в Грузию.
