В статье анализируются проблемы в сфере искусственного интеллекта, порожденные развитием информационных технологий. Разработка программного обеспечения, способного взаимодействовать с окружающей средой и манипулировать объектами и/или информацией по образу и подобию человека, позволила компании IBM создать компьютер Watson, ставший первой в истории когнитивной («мыслительной») системой, оперирующей большим объемом данных и комбинирующей их в сочетания, схожих с результатами деятельности человеческого мозга. Рассматриваемая система основана на симбиозе человеческого и машинного разумов, что позволит реализовать две цели: заменить человеческий труд на машинный и, наоборот, дополнить его в более сложных видах деятельности.
По результатам проведенного исследования, можно заключить, что компьютер Watson способен разительно изменить уровень развития ИИ и информационных технологий в целом.
