Третий климатический пояс – умеренный (преобладает, в основном, в средней и южной частях Уральского федерального округа, в зоне таёжной полосы и начинающегося на юге степного подлеска). Климат в этих широтах резко-континентальный, поэтому летом здесь довольно тёпло и влажно (осадки идут до 100 дней в году), а зимой (её продолжительность до 8 месяцев в году) достаточно холодно и не комфортно.
