Кризис и безработица меняют привычки испанцев. В стране, где традиционно предпочитали покупать новое, ширится спрос на подержанные товары. Уровень продаж в магазинах “секонд-хенд”, сбывающих побывавшие в употреблении вещи, растёт. По данным опросов, сейчас сюда приходят за покупками около 40% испанцев.

Активно работает и рынок подержанных автомобилей.

Раньше испанцы предпочитали покупать новые машины и ездить на них , пока они не становились практически непригодными. Но сейчас многие вынуждены продавать свои машины в ещё очень хорошем состоянии, а число охотников купить старое авто растёт.

“Всё сейчас изменилось, 6-7 лет тому назад на каждую проданную подержанную машину приходилось 4-5 новых. А теперь совсем наоборот: сейчас на каждую проданную новую машину приходится 3-4 подержанных,” – говорит продавец автомагазина Анхель Родригес.

Незанятость в стране достигла рекордного уровня – практически каждый 4-ый испанец не имеет работы. Правительство пытается сократить расходы госбюджета, и жителям страны также вынуждены экономить. Магазины “секонд-хенд” растут как грибы после дождя, а их владельцам приходится работать даже работать сверхурочно.
