Угрозы: Сифаки – это род лемуров, представителей семейства индриевых. Насчитывается несколько видов сифак: сифака Верро, Ореховый сифака, Коронованный сифака, Золотой коронованный сифака, сифаки Силки и Перье. Все они обитают только на острове Мадагаскар.
Потеря среды обитания в связи с активной вырубкой и выжиганием лесов в регионе и продолжающаяся охота на лемуров – основные угрозы существованию этого удивительного животного.

Угрозы: Горбатые киты на протяжении веков являлись объектом интенсивного китобойного промысла, к 1996 году это привело к сокращению их численности почти на 90%. Впервые добыча горбатого кита была официально зафиксирована в 1608 году, к XVIII веку охота на китов ради их жира и мяса приобрела чудовищные коммерческие масштабы. Предполагается, что с начала механизированного активного промысла было добыто не менее 181 400 китов в период с 1868 по 1965 год.
Международная комиссия по китобойному промыслу, озабоченная критическим состоянием вида, в 1996 году ввела полный запрет на промысел горбатого кита. Угрозы: На сегодняшний день численность гиеновидных собак составляет всего 3 000 – 5000 особей в составе 60 — 100 стай. Около половины популяции обитает в Южной Африке, довольно много в Восточной Африке, особенно в Кении и Уганде, в Центральной Африке – крайне редки.
Причины вымирания гиеновидных собак очевидны: потеря среды обитания, инфекционные заболевания, бесконтрольный отстрел.
