Никто не сможет написать о войне лучше человека, который был на войне..
Наверно, именно поэтому все события книги столь живые. Они пропитаны собственными воспоминаниями, собственной болью и печалью, отвагой, самоотверженностью и искренней любовью к родине.
Я читала эту книгу когда училась в школе. Тогда все книги школьной программы я читала нехотя, они казались мне ужасно скучными..но эта книга запала мне в сердце и душу, даже сейчас, много лет спустя я удивительно точно помню все события..

В распоряжение коменданта Васкова попадает "отряд непьющих" - отряд девушек.
Юные, беззаботные, и, не смотря на тяготы военного времени, не сломленные.
Они загарают, ходят купаться на речку - пытаются жить не помня о войне.
Но, когда приходит час они самоотверженно встают на защиту родины, не жалея себя, не боясь за собственные жизни, делают все, чтобы исполнить свой долг.
Этот удивительный контраст: беззаботности и самоотверженности - заставлял слезы наворачиваться на глазах.

Сейчас мы живем в мирное время, поэтому нам нужно читать такие живые, закрадывающиеся в душу, книги, чтобы никогда не забывать чем пожертвовали наши предки. А иначе кем мы будем, если забудем, чего стоило это мирное небо над нашими головами..
