Было проведено сравнение двух способов получения высокочистого кристаллического 5-HMF в ионных жидкостях и в традиционных растворителях (на примере воды). При сравнении полученных результатов было установлено, что, несмотря на более низкий выход 5-HMF, проведение конверсии в водных системах является предпочтительным вследствие более низкой себестоимости полученного продукта
