Курменты (Ак-Булак) — село в Тюпском районе Иссык-Кульской области Киргизии. Расположен на берегу озера Иссык-Куль (Тюпский залив), местное население в основном занято сельским хозяйством и скотоводством, также в селе действует цементный завод. Вблизи села протекает речка Курменты ("Курментинка"). Название села произошла от названия этой речки. Рядом с селом Курменты находится Светломысский техникум (Иссык-Кульский сельскохозяйственный техникум), который расположен в зданиях, где в средние века располагался христианский монастырь.
По обе стороны дороги при выезде из с.Курменты, на пахотных землях, вытянулись цепочки сакских курганов. Они возведены кочевым народом саков, которые упоминаются в Вехистунской надписи Ахеменид-ских царей древней Персии. Это они сумели разгромить армию завоевателя стран Востока Кира II (630 г. до н.э.), остановить армию Дария I Гистаспа (513 г.) и достойно сразиться с непобедимыми фалангами Александра Македонского на Як-сарте (Сырдарье) близ Ходжента в 329 г. до н.э.
