Древний город Аркаим, самый загадочный археологический памятник, обнаруженный в России. Город-крепость расположен на юге Челябинской области. Город-крепость древних Ариев была оставлена по неясной причине хозяевами и сожжена примерно 4 тыс. лет назад.
Архитектура Аркаима поражает. Размер древнего поселения 20 тысяч кв. м, диаметр 85 м. Памятник состоит из укрепленного города, двух некрополей и остатков загонов для скотины. Город радиальной схемы, сверху напоминает спираль, внутри две больших вписанных одна в другую круговых стен. Внешняя стена посвящена Солнцу, и внутренняя – Луне. Древний город расположен, так же как и английский Стоунхендж, на 52 градусах северной широты. Полагается, что именно на ней можно наблюдать наибольшее количество астрономических явлений, а его конструкция не что иное, как огромный гороскоп из 12 знаков Зодиака, точек восходов и закатов Солнца и Луны. Город просуществовал около 200-300 лет, после чего в нем произошел пожар. Население не было застигнуто врасплох и покинуло город заблаговременно. Сегодня на Урале возле древнего города Аркаима для его охраны основан заповедник. Создан грандиозный комплекс из научно-исследовательского, культурно-просветительского и образовательного центров. Множество паломников со всей страны, да и из-за рубежа, посещают в настоящее время священный загадочный город Аркаим, пытаясь впитать тайную силу мудрых предков.
