Riga's operator Rīgas Satiksme commissioned 20 low-floor trams by Škoda Transportation to be delivered by end 2017.

The €62,6m contract with Škoda Transportation will increase the total number of trams in the Latvian capital to 209 units. It was also Škoda that has previously delivered 20 brand new trams, the only-low-floor units in the fleet so far. All the new low-floor trams have air conditioners, electronic payment system, displays, video monitoring system and a passenger counting system.
