The education system in Western Europe is significantly different from that which has developed in Ukraine. In this regard, there is a disparity between the requirement for admission to universities, training periods, different degrees (bachelor, master) and certificates that give their graduates. In these two countries children start learning at school from six years. Holland school education system lasts 11-12 years; it is depending of your major. However in Ukraine it lasts 9-11 years. Here in the Netherlands as well as in Ukraine, there are three types of higher education institutions: universities, polytechnics and institutes of international education. The biggest problem of the educational system in Ukraine, this corrupt system. Comparing the above-said can conclude that the education system in these two countries is significantly different but it has it is own advantages and disadvantages.
