Восприятие времени человеком долгое время оставалось для исследователей загадкой. Но сегодня мы уже знаем: сигналы тела, внимательность и чувства определяют, насколько долго тянется время для того или иного индивида.

Ох уж это время! Иногда оно замирает – на какой-то короткий и чудесный момент. Потом оно снова мчится, бежит, летит! Если не смотреть на часы и не считать про себя, то, скорее всего, точно определить минуту не удастся. Для кого-то она пройдет уже через 50 секунд, а для кого-то – через 70, свидетельствуют исследования. Еще древние греки различали измеряемое и ощущаемое время, о чем свидетельствует наличие у них двух богов – Хроноса и Кайроса.

Однако в наше время уже известно, что ощущаемое время подчиняется иным законам, чем измеряемое. Известно также, почему это так. Так, в возрасте от 40 до 60 лет людям кажется, что время летит особенно быстро, говорит психолог Марк Виттманн из Института пограничных областей психологии и психогигиены (Фрайбург) по результатам опроса 500 человек в Германии и Австрии. Чем старше были его респонденты, тем стремительнее, по их словам, пронеслись для них последние десять лет.
