Recall that TMZ wrote, "We're told Angelina also wants the whole case to remain private -- as long as Brad sticks to the custody arrangement they both signed off on months ago." So it means Brad agreed to stick to the agreement.

As I wrote previously, Brad has benefited from the family therapy sessions which made him realize that the best way to achieving his goals is through the therapeutic process. He has no need for a RFO for additional visits (which had no chance of being approved by the judge anyway) and there is also no need for a RFO to seal since they can simply file the new agreement they just signed. The new agreement is likely an updated version of the proposed S&O to seal that was sent to Wesser on Sept. 26. As with the S&O re custody and visitation, it becomes a court Order once submitted to the Court and signed by the judge and there is no need for a hearing.


The memorandum and other documents were all signed by Lance Spiegel on Dec. 21 and filed with the court on the same date. As noted by the "source" above, filing the documents at this time makes no legal sense given that they've just signed a private agreement to seal and Brad's legal team, which he heads, had asked that the agreement also specifically protect information about Brad. As a courtesy, he should have refrained from filing anything before the 27th since the court hearing isn't until January 17. That he filed anyway right in the middle of the period gives you another hint of his motives and his ethics.

This filing hurts Brad because it disturbs the peace at a sensitive and critical time for him. He and his parents are spending the Holidays with Angelina and the children and it could provide a big boost to healing his relationship with the children. The filing cannot help his chances. This has absolutely no benefit for Brad on any level.
