Это трансформатроры тока, предусмотренные для подключения счётчиков и прочих очень точных измерительных приборов.
Если по первичной обмотке трансформатора тока протекает ток короткого замыкания, то температурная нагрузка на подсоединённые приборы тем ниже, чем ниже коэффициент безопасности приборов.
3.1 Класс точности
Это максимально допустимая относительная погрешность по току. Обычно трансформаторы тока расчитаны на диапазон измерений от 5% до 120% значения первичного номинального тока. (Для классов 0,2S и 0,5S диапазон измерений 1% до 120%)
