CHINA JOINS INDIA IN PACT TO WITHDRAW BORDER UNITS
New Delhi — India and China pledged Friday not to attack each other across a disputed Himalayan border, and came to the agreement to withdraw an unspecified number of troops from the area.
An agreement on troop movements, despite the vagueness of its terms, rated as the most significant of four pacts signed during a visit by President J. Z., the highest official China has ever sent to India's capital.
