Проходя мимо соседнего дома, я услышал лай собаки.
Собака была привязана, а хозяина во дворе не видно.
Я немного забеспокоился, так как мой сосед был пожилой человек и жил один.
Загляну во двор, я увидел, что дверь в подвал открыта, и, собака рвется туда.
Меня охватила паника.
Я понял, что с соседом что-то случилось.
Собравшись с духом, я заглянул в подвал.
Не мог же я оставить своего соседа в беде!

Оказалось, что сосед споткнулся о порог и упал прямо в подвал.
Видимо, он повредил ногу и не мог сдвинуться с места.
