Субкультура Металлисты образовалась в начала 1960-х годов. Это направление было порождено музыкальный стилем Heavy metal. Они любят свободную жизнь, живя в удовольствие, распивать спиртные напитки, посещать heavy metal концерты. Основная масса этой субкультуры - подростки, в возрасте от шестнадцати до двадцати лет, а также старые представители в возрасте от 45 лет. Их можно узнать по: кожаная одежда (черного цвета), много металла на теле (цепи, шины, браслеты), большие ботинки, пирсинг (обычно в левом ухе), банданы, из символики, часто встречаются черепа.
