In the early 19th century, the feasibility study of land use in the post Baikal border area was carried out. Therefore, it was decided to establish villages along the ingoda river. In this case, storms living in these areas are advised to move elsewhere. The nomads agreed, but asked for a new certificate of permanent ownership of the land.<br>After the storm left the nomads, the village of Domna was established. Its name comes from a local hydrologic NIMA, which flows through the urbo dogno river. The translation of "dogno" from Buryat is "ice". In fact, even in August, the river is cold.<br>In October 1876, a church was settled in the village. Three years later, she was sanctified and opened for parishioners. Yefim Kalashnikov, a local resident, donated money to build the temple. At the end of the 19th century, the church opened a parish school. By the beginning of the next century, the programme had been expanded to five girls and 17 boys. After the establishment of the Soviet regime, schools were changed into secular schools.<br>
