Для подростков, личностные качества человека не являются важными критериями в выборе идеала а являются наиболее типичное его поведение и поступки. Так, например, он хочет быть похожим на человека, часто помогающего другим. Старшие подростки чаще не хотят быть похожими на конкретного человека. Они выделяют определенные личностные качества людей к которым они стремятся. Чаще всего идеалом для них выступает человек, который старше по возрасту.
Развитие личности подростка достаточно противоречиво. В этот период дети в большей степени стремятся к общению со сверстниками, формируются межличностные контакты, и у подростков возрастает желание быть в какой-то группе и коллективе.
