На Международном астрономическом конгрессе ученый поведал об этом открытии своим коллегам, но ему никто не поверил. И все потому, что он был одет в традиционные турецкие одеяния.

Через 11 лет тот же астроном явился на конгресс в европейской одежде и снова доложил о своем открытии. На этот раз ему поверили.

Если бы до этого турецкий султан не приказал своим подданным носить европейские одежды, мир так и не узнал бы об астероиде. Потому что астронома в турецком костюме не принимали всерьез.
