25 ноября 1839 циклон обрушился на деревню в гавани Коринга возле Андхра-Прадеше в Индии.

Циклон вызвал цунами в 12 метров, которые уничтожили большую части деревни, а также многочисленные корабли, стоявшие в гавани.

Жертвами циклона стало 300 тысяч человек, из них около 20 тысяч утонуло.
