На вход УП поступает информация из первичного учёта о фактах финансово-хозяйственной деятельности компании в виде документов бухгалтерского, статистического, налогового и оперативно-технического учёта для обработки учётными инструментами и составления отчётности. На выходе УП представлена обобщённая информация для удовлетворения потребностей внутренних и внешних заинтересованных лиц (стейкхолдеров), выраженная в форме отчётности об условиях и результатах деятельности компании за отчётный период.
