How are things? I’m fine, but I’m already looking forward to the summer holidays! Thanks a lot for your letter. It was great to hear from you. Sorry I haven’t written for ages, but you know how lazy I am!

We had our school sports day yesterday. It was a bit boring. I don’t really like athletics because I’m not a good runner. I wish we had a choice of sports at my school. We have to play netball in the winter, and play tennis or do athletics in the summer. I’d rather play basketball.

I can’t swim at school, but I often go to the local swimming pool. I’m doing a life-saving course at the moment. You have to be a good swimmer to do the course, but it’s great fun. It’s really useful, too. When I’m older, I’d really like to go diving, too. It would be really exciting to swim underwater. I’d rather not meet any sharks, though! What about sports at your school? What sport would you like to do in the future?

Anyway, I’d better go now because I have to do my homework. Say ‘hello’ to everybody for me. Take care and please write soon.
