School leavers should take a gap year before entering university.

The debate about gap year has been going on for decades therefore there's no doubt that there are opposite sides to this problem. Nowadays some people think that pupils should not enter university immediately after school, whereas others claim that they should do it.

As for me, I would rather to use an opportunity to take a gap year after school. First of all, if I do it, I will be able to earn some money for my university studying. It means, that this year gives me independence from my parents. Secondly, most of graduates cannot make up their minds about their profession. So, gap year gives them a chance to do it.
However, other people claim that pupils should immediately enter university after school. Their strongest argument is that it is too hard to focus on your exams when you have a lot of free time .And you might never enter university after a gap year.

I completely disagree with this point of view. To my mind, it is too hard to be ready for exams nowadays. While at school pupils always have not enough time for studying because of great amount of homework they have. So, you can study more and pass your exam better than if you don’t take a gap year.

To conclude, I would like to say that a gap year is very important in our life. All pupils should take it.
