Моя бабушка пошла в школу в 1946 году. Школа находилась недалеко от дома, поэтому до нее можно было дойти пешком. Но некоторым ребятам с дальних районов поселка приходилось проходить очень большое расстояние.

Само здание школы было достаточно большим. Причем, младшие дети ходили в отдельную школу, которая была совсем рядом. Школа была одноэтажная и деревянная. Классных руководителей было три: Варвара Васильевна Весневская, Антонина Васильевна Шихова и Мальчикова Софья Васильевна. Все учителя были строгими на уроках, но они всегда помогали своим ученикам.

Дисциплина не была строгой. Отчасти из-за того, что были другие дети. Они приходили в школу учиться, а не веселиться. Однако если ты вел плохо себя на уроках, тебя вызывали к директору и даже могли исключить. Но это была редкость. Школьная форма не была обязательной, а обучение было бесплатным.

Вокруг школы был небольшой парк и футбольное поле. Также было много разных уроков. Когда занятия заканчивались, многие оставались на дополнительные кружки, а кто-то шел домой. В школе работал буфет, но старшие дети туда редко ходили. Они тратили свои деньги на билеты в кино.
