Hobbies & Interests
I have such a wide and varying array of interests that you'd think I was two or three different people. Most of my friends, and even my family, only see one or two sides of me. The only person who really knew me completely was my ex lover who is in blessed memory . I enjoy everything from classical music and reading non-fiction, fine dining and good wine, traveling, road trips and cruises, to boating, drag racing, road racing, hunting, shooting, fishing, archery, astronomy, physics, and internet development. I have a passion for hunting, a throw-back perhaps to our ancestors as hunters and foragers, and a zest for travel. The desire to explore the world and see new places is very strong in my heart. If I'd been born a couple hundred years ago I'd have been an explorer sailing uncharted waters. I'm also a complete computer geek; a self taught programmer of sorts. I taught myself HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CGI-PERL, a little XML, and I'm a master of Excel (you'd be surprised what it can do!). I'm still learning PHP. I believe if you stop learning you're wasting your life, and I try to learn something new each day. I've built numerous web sites, a couple feeble applications, and a couple of computers. The website that I'm most proud of is www.shipmodelsuperstore.com/. Not only did I design and build the site, but I'm part owner; partnered with some very good friends. We sell some absolutely magnificent model ships, speedboat models, and sailboat models. I also collect speedboat models so check out my photos for more info.
