обор Святого Вита — шедевр готической архитектуры и символ Праги, столицы Чехии. Свою историю этот архитектурный памятник ведет с 1344 года. Расположенный на территории Пражского Града, сегодня он служит резиденцией для архиепископа Пражского. Сложно описать словами величие и красоту этого здания, которое многократно, на протяжении столетий, достраивалось и совершенствовалось, чтобы приобрести свою нынешнюю, непередаваемую красоту.

По сведениям историков беспрерывное строительство костела длилось около шести веков. Этим объясняется и тот факт, что убранство собора включает в себя образчики самых разных видов искусства — от готики до неоготики, от рококо и ренессанса — до барокко. Свою руку к красоте собора приложили лучшие европейские мастера из Чехии, Германии, Франции, а декорированием интерьера занимался великий чешско-моравский художник Альфонс Муха.
