КЗС - костюм защитный сетчатый: Состоял на вооружении СА и на учете службы РХБЗ (радиационной,химической и биологической защиты). В первую очередь предназначался для защиты личного состава от воздействия поражающих факторов оружия массового поражения (ОМП). Таких как радиационные осадки, световое излучение(кратковременного), бактереологических. Костюм был пропитан специальным составом препятствующим горению. Одевался поверх штатного обмундирования по команде командира или заранее, при вероятности применения противником ОМП. После преодоления зараженной местности или воздействия поражающих факторов, костюм в отличии от ОЗК (общевойсковой защитный комплект) не обрабатывался, а снимался и выбрасывался (или уничтожался). Также использовался в качестве легкого маскировочного комплекта.
