Новороссийск является одним из лучших городов Краснодарского края и самым крупным торговым портом на юге России. Основан в 1838 году. На берег Цемесской бухты высадился первый десант во главе с вице-адмиралом Лазаревым и генерал-лейтенантом Раевским. Они и заложили на этом месте город. За свою недолгую историю Новороссийск разрушался до основания три раза. Самое памятное разрушение произошло во время Великой Отечественной войны

Население города насчитывает около 257 тысяч человек.
