В постсоветский период странное слово "фаст-фуд" прижилось в русском языке, а заведения быстрого питания стали обязательным элементом пейзажа всех уважающих себя городов. 60% от всех заведений общественного питания в России - это предприятия фаст-фуда. Для сравнения: США на них приходится 39%, а в Китае - 23% (см.). Хотя фаст-фуд - сугубо американское изобрение, но россияне оказались очень мотивированными учениками.
