Большой Зимбабве В Южной Африке старейшим и одновременно самым большим сооружением считается Большой Зимбабве. Это строение появилось в одиннадцатом веке, его население составляло не менее восемнадцати тысяч человек. Учёным неизвестно, по какой причине в пятнадцатом веке Большой Зимбабве оказался заброшенным. Высота древних руин достигает одиннадцати метров. Все сооружения возведены методом сухой кладки – гранитные плиты уложены рядами. Это удивительно, так как стандартным материалом Африки того периода являлось дерево и глина.
