День информации и печати Кыргызстана 7 ноября Профессиональный праздник всех работников средств массовой информации, радио и телевидения, полиграфии, издательств, книжной торговли - День информации и печати - установлен Постановлением Правительства Кыргызской Республики № 527 от 1 ноября 1993 года в день выхода в свет первого номера национальной газеты «Эркин Тоо» (ныне «Кыргыз Туусу») — 7 ноября 1924 года. Возникновение периодической печати в Кыргызстане приходится на 1913 год, когда представителями прогрессивной русской интеллигенции был основан и издан «Пржевальский сельский хозяин» в объеме 16—18 страниц, тиражом в 1 тысячу экземпляров, в котором публиковались материалы сельскохозяйственного назначения. После выхода 4 номеров выпуск журнала был прекращен. Однако, это издание осталось в истории Кыргызстана первым печатным изданием. 7 ноября 1924 года в Ташкенте вышел первый номер газеты «Эркин Тоо» на кыргызском языке. Он был подписан Комиссией по науке Кара-Кыргызской области. Первым редактором газеты был Э.Алиев. В этом номере были опубликованы статья Э.Арабаева, председателя Комиссии по науке, в которой определялось историческое значение газеты, стихотворение А.Токомбаева «Октябрдын келген кези», другие статьи и разнообразная информация. Ответственным секретарем газеты был назначен С.Карачев, редакционными сотрудниками были М.Салихов, К.Карасаев, М.Акматов, С.Тлеубергенов, которые к тому времени получили образование в Ташкенте
