Солнечные электростанции превращают энергию солнечных лучей в электроэнергию. Они производят бесплатное электричество, излишек которого можно продавать в сеть по «зеленому» тарифу.Законодательство Украины обязывает энергоснабжающие компании выкупать у домохозяйств по «зеленому тарифу» избыточную электроэнергию, выработанную крышными или фасадными солнечными электростанциями мощностью до 30 кВт. При этом владельцам домохозяйств не нужно получать лицензию производителя электроэнергии и выполнять требование о местной составляющей.
