Корабельные самолеты по конструкции подобны сухопутным, но и имеют существенные отличия. Особенности их конструкции связаны с размещением, взле¬том и посадкой на летной палубе, имеющей относительно небольшие размеры.
Современные корабельные самолеты подразделяются по способу взлета на: катапультные, вертикального взлета и короткого (трамплинного).
